Spooktacular Giveaway Hop: Your Chance To Win The Comanche Vampire

Vampires have long intrigued me.  From Barnabas Collins on the original Dark Shadows, my grade school addiction, onward, immortal creatures of the night have an appeal.  Often they are portrayed as sexy.  Sometimes they are depicted as terrifying and sometimes as both.  I write many varieties of romance including paranormal.  And yes, I have several books featuring a vampire hero.

My vamps are more human than horrifying, people caught up in a blood lust they didn’t ask to receive and living well beyond their own eras.  In my Love Covenant series (Evernight Publishing), I began with Will Brennan, an Irishman from centuries ago now living in the modern world as an over the road truck driver.  His brogue hasn’t diminished over the centuries and neither has his charm.  When would be singer Cara Riley meets Will along the way to Nashville, the attraction is hot and immediate.  Love Tattoo was the first novel.  The others in the series are Love Scars, Love Knots, and Love Shadows.

Here’s the blurb, cover and link from the first:

One kiss chars everything Cara Riley knows into ignorance but she's willing to learn.  She detours from her planned shot at a Nashville singing career to see just where this wild fever with sexy Will Brennan may take her.   They prowl Beale Street by night, ride the midnight trolley, and they're falling into love fast.   He has his quirks - he sleeps days, plays at night, quotes Shakespeare and exudes sensual appeal - but when he takes Cara to his home, she learns the secret he's kept for over two hundred years.   Whether or not they can find a future together is up to Cara.

With a vampire series on my backlist, my good friend, fellow writer, top reviewer, and radio host Bennet Pomerantz inspired me to write a new vampire novel.  On one of his programs, he dared me to write another vampire book and within a few days, I told him I had begun one.  So I’m the book mama and he’s the book daddy for The Comanche Vampire.  Ned Big Eagle is a vampire and a full blood Comanche.  As one of the last wild Comanches in the 1800’s, Ned became a vampire against his will.  Here’s the blurb for it along with the cover:

He’s a Comanche. He’s also a vampire. And Ned Big Eagle, also known as Pea’hocso, became one more than a century ago. Just after he surrendered as one of the last wild Comanche warriors to ride the plains, a woman turned him into a blood drinking immortal. Now that he’s become what never existed in Comanche folklore, Ned lives a solitary life on the edge of the Wichita Mountains.

So far, he’s endured his eternal life but when he meets pretty history professor Anne Delahanty, she brings out emotions and desires he hasn’t known since he was still human. As they fall into love, he wants to tell her the truth—but when he does, Anne doesn’t believe him. It takes a near tragedy to convince her and then she can’t deal. Ned has few options but he hopes he can convince her to join him in an everlasting undead love, Comanche style.

October is the perfect time of year for vampires and their kisses.  So the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop seems ideal to give away one winner’s choice of either Love Tattoo or The Comanche Vampire.
