Looking Forward Into 2012: Some of What's Coming Up

As 2011 winds down, here's a look at what I have coming up next...

Love Shadows,  book four of my popular Love Covenant paranormal romance series from Evernight Publishing will be out soon, probably in January.  Here's the beautiful cover and blurb:

About a year after Cara Riley made the choice to become both a vampire and the bride of Irish vampire Will Brennan, she finds herself singing on the stage of her brother-in-law’s Branson, Missouri Theater.  Now that the brothers reunited after centuries of believing the other to be dead, Will and his youngest sibling Seamus are happy to have a family.  Will and Cara visit Branson often.

On what should have been a routine visit Cara notices a vampire she’s never seen before in the audience at Brennan’s Irish Stage.  The blonde vamp covets Cara and it soon becomes apparent that he wants to claim her for his own.  Trouble is, he’s got a bad reputation among the undead and he’s an old vampire, far more powerful than Will or Seamus.

Will and Cara speed back to Memphis but on Halloween night, they realize that Henri isn’t going to stop his pursuit of Cara.  He makes her ill to demonstrate his power and that he can kill any of them whenever he wants.  A cat and mouse game follows but when the mind games get a little over the top, the Brennans head for Branson until Thanksgiving.
The three head down to east Texas for a traditional dinner with Cara’s family but on the evening before the holiday Cara takes off to the nearest Wal-Mart on an errand for her mother.  What should have been a routine trip almost kills Seamus and Cara finds herself in Henri’s clutches deep in the dark reaches of mysterious Caddo Lake.  Will is desperate to find Cara before Henri destroys her but it takes a little help from Cara’s Uncle Johnny, a fisherman who knows Caddo like his own street

In Love’s Own Time, (Time travel, contemporary romance) Feb 17, 2012,

There may be no place like home and nothing like love…..
When Lillian Dorsey inherits the family home from the grandfather who banished her pregnant mother decades earlier, she travels to see the house and sell it.  Instead, she is captivated by the Edwardian beauty and intrigued by the ghost.   When the original owner manifests himself, he’s both charming and witty.  Lillian can’t hide her attraction to Howard Speakman especially when she learns it’s mutual.   Since she’s alive and he’s long dead, however, there seems to be no way they can ever be together.
But where there’s a will there may be a way….
One afternoon, while pretending to visit the past, the impossible becomes real for a short span and they realize that if they visited 1904 once, they can do it again.   If Lillian can return to Howard’s time, then maybe she can prevent his death and they can manage that happily ever after anyway. With just enough pluck to try, they attempt to bend time to their will and if they succeed, then they may find a love to stand the test of time.

Miss Good Samaritan (sweet suspense) April 3, 2012

When a wounded man leaps into Robin Cavanaugh’s car at a traffic light, her ordinary Saturday goes awry.  He refuses to go to the hospital and although her first instinct is to deliver him to the nearest police station, she relents when he tells her his name.  He’s a member of her church and swears he’s one of the good guys.  Robin feels inclined to believe him so she takes him home and tends his wounds.
As his condition worsens, she uses his cell phone to contact what turns out to be his brother, a local medical doctor.  Robin soon learns that Gray is no criminal but an undercover agent whose life may be in danger.

As their relationship develops and Gray heals, Robin becomes part of the action too.  When she gives her heart and accepts his marriage proposal, Robin has no idea if he’ll survive his last undercover operation or not.

 Guy’s Angel (Historical 1920’s romance), June 3, 2012

Guy’s Angel blurb:

When a young woman really believes the sky is the limit, amazing things can happen….

Lorraine Ryan wants to fly airplanes so she heads for the local airstrip in 1925 to make her dream come true.  Most of the flyboys think she’s cute but a woman’s place is in the home, not the cockpit.   When Guy Richter steps up and offers to teach her to fly, she’s captivated with both Guy and flight.  He nicknames her “Angel” and takes her up into that wild blue yonder.  Before long, they’re deep in love.

Love, however, isn’t always enough……

Guy, a former World War I flying ace, is haunted by his past. His demons include his war service, the death of his only brother in an accident the previous year, and the Valkyries that he evaded in France who trail him in the hopes that they can complete his destiny.  But his dreams lie with Angel and as they grow closer and closer, he soon realizes that if anyone can save him, it’s his Angel.

(I love every cover Carl J. Franklin at Rebel Ink has done for me but I have to admit, the one for Guy's Angel is my absolute hands down favorite so far.)

Three of Hearts (Father’s Day theme)

(unofficial blurb)…
Ross Ramsay became a full-time daddy when his ex-wife overdosed but although he loves his five year old son, Tristan, very much, he's overwhelmed with parenting. He relies on help from his brother and sister-in-law Reid and Caroline (hero and heroine from Love Never Fails) but when he meets a neighbor, Shellie, Ross realizes he could use both company and support. Just before Valentine's Day, Tristan runs away from school after a teacher insists he does have a mother and Ross, sick with a sinus infection must search for his son. As the family comes together, Shellie joins the search and Ross soon realizes he can have a family of his own.

I also have a novella Long Live The King from Champagne Books in May and a story in Spec-Tacular, kind of a "best of" anthology from Raven Electrick Ink.
