My Upcoming Novels - Blurbs and Teasers

I'm watching the snow fly outside my window, winds blowing it into a blizzard and the white stuff is stacking up fast on the ground.  With virtually everything shut down over most of the state, I have my family home safe.  As long as the power holds out, we're good.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of appearing on Bethany Halle's blog radio talk show, Sensuous Writings with some other Rebel Ink Press authors.  I enjoyed it and it was great to hear other authors talking about their work, past, present, and current.  We also talked about ebooks, their impact, and the exciting future ahead.

With that in mind, I wanted to share a little about my upcoming works.  Wolfe's Lady is out now, of course, and available on both Amazon and at Evernight Publishing along with a number of other sites.

Next up is Love Tattoo and it will be out from Evernight in April.  Here's a little teaser about the book, set in one of my favorite cities, Memphis!

One unexpected late night encounter, one titillating kiss detours Cara Riley from reaching Nashville for a last shot at a singing career and lands her in Memphis. Dark, mysterious truck driver Will Brennan oozes sexuality and Cara finds herself drawn to him. Will quotes Shakespeare and dresses in black. He brings her to a higher level of sensual pleasure than she even imagined could be possible. As their relationship explodes into something real, she learns he has more than a few quirks. He sleeps by day and prowls by night. Their excursions to Beale Street, the Tunica casinos, and downtown Memphis become legendary but her curiosity grows. At his home – a castle – nestled in a wooded area just outside Memphis, she learns just what his sweet love tattoos really mean and must decide if she wants another. Whether or not they find their happy ending is all up to Cara.

In July, the first of my novels from Champagne Books will be out.  Kinfolk is a romantic suspense book set in Northwest Arkansas which is practically my backyard.   Here's a little about it:

The last thing that writer Katherine Vaughn expects when she flees California for her native Arkansas is to fall in love, especially not with a former Navy SEAL and her cousin’s widower. Nor did she expect that the thugs seeking retribution for her late husband’s drug debts would follow her back to Arkansas.

As she and Ben Hatfield fall in love, their happiness faces trials that include an unexpected illness and his grandfather’s death. After Ben’s apparent death, Katherine has little time to mourn after the California drug lord’s minions kidnap her in a final effort to collect on the debt. Her life is in jeopardy as she wonders if there is any hope left in her heart.

Kinfolk is a novel about the power of love and the strength of family ties

In mid-September, Love Never Fails will be out from Rebel Ink Press.   If you're not familiar with Rebel Ink, they are a fantastic and fast-growing small press devoted to publishing quality books and I am proud to be one of the Rebel Ink authors!   Here's a teaser about Love Never Fails:

Old loves sometimes fade away and sometimes they refuse to die.   When a late night phone call from the one time love of her life, Reid Ramsay, interrupts both her sleep and her life, Caroline Cunningham finds she can’t refuse his offer of help.  That call propels her back to her small hometown and into the heart of a search for Reid’s missing brother, Ross.  The love Caroline tried hard to deny for the last five years is alive and well – and so is Reid’s love for her.  As they work together searching for Ross, their feelings revert to their original love but even after both learn that Caroline’s aunt masterminded their break-up, their future is still uncertain. They draw close once more but they must work through their past emotional baggage and find Ross before they can find the happiness they both want.

And last but not least, in November of this year, Champagne Books will bring out my time travel romance which is actually the first of a two-part series.  A Time To Love is the first part; A Time To Dance (now in rough draft form) will be the second.   Here's something to get interest flowing in Samuel and Annie:
Falling in love is challenging but falling in love with a woman who says she came from another century is a challenge most men wouldn't want to tackle.  Reclusive songwriter Samuel Baird lives on a remote Arkansas mountain drinking his life away.  The last thing he wants is a woman to complicate things but during a spectacular thunderstorm, a woman arrives just in time to save his life.   She says she comes from the late 1800's and he thinks she is crazy but Annie still manages to gain his attention and affection. To reach a happily ever after, Samuel and Annie must overcome several obstacles, past and present, but in the end, they find the happiness that they seek.

2011 will be a busy year and an exciting one!
